Job summary

Heycroft Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking compassionate Agency Support Workers to care for children and young people in residential settings, including those with learning disabilities or EBD. Roles cover day and night shifts, with enhanced rates on bank holidays.

You will promote independence, follow care plans, and help develop life skills while maintaining safety and high-quality records. A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel within placements are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children (1 year preferable) with training provided.
• Experience working with learning disabilities (1 year preferable) with training provided.
• Willingness to work across a variety of homes and environments.
• Availability to commit to a minimum of 24 hours per week (with opportunity for full-time hours).
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to children and young people in residential settings (learning disabilities and/or EBD).
• Promote independence and life skills development.
• Support communication and encourage positive social interactions.
• Follow care plans and assist children to achieve their goals.
• Promote positive activities and maintain a safe, nurturing environment.
• Support young people through challenges with empathy and patience.
• Personal care where required and maintain a clean, safe home environment.
• Maintain accurate records and report concerns appropriately.
