Job summary

Heycroft Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking compassionate Agency Support Workers to care for children and young people in residential settings on day and night shifts. A full UK driving licence is essential, with DBS check and online checks conducted. Weekly pay, flexible shifts, and opportunities for full-time hours are offered.

This role supports your ability to help young people build independence and life skills while following care plans and maintaining a safe home environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children (preferred 1 year) with training provided.
• Experience with Learning Disabilities or Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (preferred).
• Full UK driving licence essential and ability to travel to placements.

Agency Support Worker (Day & Night Shifts)

£15-£17 per hour + enhanced rates

At Heycroft Staffing Solutions, we specialise in providing high-quality temporary staff to children's homes supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Disabilities (LD). We are currently looking for compassionate and dedicated Agency Support Workers to join our team for day and night shifts.

• Providing care and support to children and young people in residential settings- Learning disabilities and/or EBD
• Promoting/developing independence and life skills
• Supporting communication and encouraging positive social interactions

• Supporting young people through challenges with empathy and patience
• Personal care (not required in all homes)
• Maintaining a clean, safe home environment
• Maintaining accurate records and reporting concerns appropriately

What We're Looking For:

• Experience working with children (preferable 1 year)- training provided
• Experience working with Learning Disabilities (preferable 1 year)- training provided
• Willingness to work across a variety of homes and environments
• Availability to commit to a minimum of 24 hours per week (with opportunity for full-time hours)
• Full UK driving licence essential
• Willingness to travel up to 1 hour from your home to placements
