Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Children's Residential Support Worker in Kettering to support young people aged 12-18 with EBD in a safe, nurturing environment. The role involves encouraging participation in activities, maintaining a homely setting, and promoting independence while following care plans and safeguarding guidelines.

The successful candidate will have a UK full driving licence, be over 21, and be prepared to commute to Kettering.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Children's Residential Support Worker or with Young People is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience within healthcare or social care settings is advantageous.
  • Must hold a full UK driver’s licence.
  • Must be over the age of 21.
  • Ability to commute to Kettering.

  • Maintain a homely, friendly environment within the residential setting.
  • Manage challenging behaviours with patience and professionalism.

  • Ensure a safe environment by adhering to care plans, guidelines, and reward systems.
  • Support young people through taxing behaviours in a safe and sympathetic manner.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join a leading specialist provider as a Children's Residential Support Worker in Kettering. This role involves supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in a safe, nurturing environment.
