Job description

DegreeSix is a specialist agency working exclusively with Residential & Supported Living services for Young People aged 6 and above in some of the top private Social Care providers in the Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire area.

This role is an agency, zero-hour support worker position offering flexibility to pick and choose shifts among various companies. Please note, we do not offer guaranteed work.

We are seeking support workers who possess the knowledge, compassion, patience, and understanding to support, enrich, and promote the independence of vulnerable young people.

  • Emotional and Challenging Behaviours (EBD)
  • Learning Disabilities (LD) & Autism
  • Mental Health (MH) – including self-harm and suicide risk

Role responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and positive living environment by managing domestic tasks
  • Following care plans and safeguarding procedures
  • Engaging residents through fun and educational activities to develop interests and hobbies
  • Organizing and participating in day trips such as theme parks, seaside visits, and outings to parks
  • Promoting independence and providing emotional support
