About You:As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you’ll lead by example, using your experience, compassion and commitment to help create a safe, nurturing environment where young people can feel secure, build trust and thrive. For some young people, the behaviours caused by the trauma they have experienced means they need additional support. These will include line managing Support Workers, overseeing staff performance and wellbeing, and coordinating staff and resources effectively during shifts. You’ll also participate in an on‑call rota, helping to ensure the home runs safely and effectively and that young people receive consistent support. To succeed in this role, you’ll be a supportive team player with strong problem‑solving skills and the confidence to make decisions in challenging situations. You’ll be adaptable, resilient and able to motivate others, while maintaining a calm, consistent and child‑centred approach. Above all, you’ll be passionate about helping young people overcome adversity, build positive relationships and achieve brighter futures.

You will need to successfully complete a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within the first 24 months of support work. This will be fully funded by Break and you will be supported by our training team. Please note that you must have a full, UK driving licence for this position. The basic annual salary range for this role is £28,028 to £28,978 per annum. If your application is successful, your job offer will be based on these amounts.
