Purosearch Ltd. is seeking a Children’s Residential Service Manager in Birmingham to lead and oversee 5–6 homes. You will drive safeguarding, quality of care and regulatory compliance, while mentoring Registered Managers and frontline teams.

The role demands senior leadership, Ofsted knowledge, and a people-focused approach to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people. A Level 5 Diploma or equivalent is required, with a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–4 years' experience as a Registered Manager in children's residential care.
• Experience supporting children/young people with Learning Disabilities (LD) and Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
• Proven multi-site management and operational leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of Ofsted requirements, Children's Homes Regulations and safeguarding.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• A people-focused leadership style with the ability to motivate, develop and inspire teams.
• Experience supporting and developing Registered Managers.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsabilités

• Provide effective operational leadership and oversight across 5–6 children's residential homes.
• Support, mentor and develop Registered Managers and staff teams.
• Ensure all services operate in line with Ofsted requirements, Children's Homes Regulations and organisational policies.
• Drive high standards of care, safeguarding, compliance and practice.
• Monitor service quality, performance and occupancy levels.
• Lead audits, action plans and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support recruitment, retention and workforce development across the services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, external professionals and key stakeholders.
• Provide operational support and guidance to Registered Managers.
• Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota, including weekend cover where required.
• Promote a child-focused, people-centred and outcome-driven culture across all services.
• Lead on service development and ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.

What We're Looking For
