Job Description:

Role: Children's Residential Care Worker

Location : Telford, Shropshire

Hours : 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern : 7:00am - 11:00pm

Rate of Pay : £14.00 per hour

Do you want to be part of a devoted team of care workers working in one of our beautiful Ofsted Registered Children's homes in Telford, Shropshire?

We provide a safe, stable and caring environment for children and young people to make their home.

Our children and young people's ages range from 8 up to 18 years old and they have often experienced high levels of trauma, neglect, and crisis in their young lives, resulting in them experiencing complex challenges.

If you feel you could make a positive difference for these children and young people, you'll be a perfect fit within the role.

What is essential for this role?

  • You will need to have had at least 12 months experience working with children/young people. (Essential)

What will be expected from you as a Residential Care Worker?

  • An NVQ/Diploma Level 3, or equivalent, in Children & Young people is preferred for this role
  • Creating positive relationships and meeting the needs of our children and young people
  • Using your experience and skills - further developed with our support and training, you will assist with the care of our children and young people
  • An excellent understanding of safeguarding
  • An ability to articulate and ensure comprehensive record keeping
  • Preferred - Previous experience within an OFSTED regulated residential setting
  • Preferred - Driver with full UK driving licence
