Job summary

New Reflexions is recruiting a Residential Care Worker to support young people up to 18 across Shropshire, Powys and Staffordshire. The role includes daily routines, education support and community engagement, with a focus on safety, dignity and inclusion.

We provide full training from day one, cover Level 3 training and offer clear career pathways from frontline support to leadership roles. Sleep-ins and flexible full/part-time hours are available, with opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• Compassion, patience and a genuine desire to help.
• Willingness to complete funded QCF Level 3 training.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with young people up to 18.
• Assist with daily routines and emotional wellbeing.
• Participate in school life and lead educational activities.
• Support development through structured activities and community engagement.
• Promote independence while ensuring a safe, nurturing environment.
• Deliver care plans, track progress and communicate with families.
• Follow a shift pattern including sleep-ins.
• Part-time options (60, 90, or 120 hrs/month) and full-time options with sleep-ins.

What You'll Do as a Residential Care Worker:

Essential Requirements:

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence
• Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help.
• A calm and reliable nature in challenging situations
• Willingness to complete (fully funded) QCF Level 3 training
• A true passion for supporting and inspiring children to thrive.

• Right to work in the UK
• We do not use agency staff; therefore, we do require people to be flexible to cover shifts.
