Job summary

Wakefield Council is seeking a motivated Dual Registered Children’s Homes Manager to oversee two homes providing nurturing care for children. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, relevant qualifications, and experience, ensuring the best outcomes for children while having the opportunity for ongoing support and training.

Qualifications

Job description

EXCITING OPPORTUNITY!

This position is a Dual Registered role covering two small homes.

Wakefield is ambitious for children and have adopted an innovative approach throughout its residential model. Providing long term nurturing care for children in care long term in a small home model.

To support this, we are now seeking to appoint a suitably skilled, qualifiedand motivation dual registered children’s homes manager to lead and develop a home with a focus on achieving best outcomes for children.

An excellent understanding of the needs of children in care, with a clear ambition to provide outstanding services for the children we look after is required. The successful candidate should have level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent (within two years). They must also have in the last five years at least two years’ experience of working with children and young people. In addition, they should have at least one years’ experience of working at a senior level in a residential setting, as well as experience of supervising staff and/or students and contributing to team development.

We will provide you with excellent supervision, appraisal, on – going training and support in obtaining your management qualification awards.
