Vetro Recruitment is recruiting a Children’s Home Registered Manager to lead a brand-new four-bed home in Carlisle. The role focuses on creating a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for boys aged 6-18, with oversight of service delivery and compliance with regulatory standards.

You will drive high standards of care, manage the team, and ensure quality outcomes through safeguarding, staff development, and ongoing improvements.

Competenze

• Level 3 qualification in residential childcare or equivalent.
• Level 5 leadership qualification for residential childcare or equivalent.
• Previous management experience in children's residential services.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong understanding of challenges faced by children in care.

Mansioni

• Provide strong leadership and management of the home and staff team.
• Ensure the home's Statement of Purpose remains accurate and reflective of service delivery.
• Maintain compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, safeguarding requirements, and organisational policies.
• Monitor and continuously improve service quality and standards.
• Lead staff supervision, performance management, appraisals, and professional development.
• Manage budgets and resources efficiently.
• Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and confidentiality.

Job Title: Children's Home Registered Manager

Location: Carlisle, Cumbria

Salary: Up to £44,020 per annum, including available bonuses

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Children's Home Registered Manager to lead a brand-new four-bed children's residential home in Carlisle. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact by establishing a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for boys aged 6-18. As the Registered Manager, you will oversee all aspects of service delivery, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing strong leadership and management of the home and staff team.
• Ensuring the home's Statement of Purpose remains accurate and reflective of service delivery.
• Maintaining compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, safeguarding requirements, and organisational policies.
• Monitoring and continuously improving service quality and standards.
• Leading staff supervision, performance management, appraisals, and professional development.
• Managing budgets and resources efficiently.
• Promoting safeguarding, equality, diversity, and confidentiality.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A relevant Level 3 qualification in residential childcare, Children and Young People's Workforce, health and social care, or an equivalent qualification.
• A relevant Level 5 leadership and management qualification for residential childcare, or equivalent.
• Previous management experience within children's residential services.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and people-management skills.
• A full UK driving licence.
• A strong understanding of the challenges faced by children and young people in care.

Desirable

• Experience working with young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
• Experience across residential childcare, social care, or youth work settings.
