Job summary

Vetro Recruitment seeks an experienced Registered Manager to lead a children’s home in Hyde, ensuring high standards of care and regulatory compliance. You will oversee operations, safeguard children, and work with the Responsible Individual to deliver positive outcomes for young people.

The role requires a Level 5 Diploma and at least two years’ managerial experience in residential care, plus a driving licence and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• At least two years’ experience within the last five years in a residential care setting for children.
• Proven experience in supervising and managing staff in a care environment.
• Strong knowledge of the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and associated statutory guidance.
• A full UK driving licence and the ability to travel as required.
• A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and promoting children’s rights.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the home in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
• Ensure the safety, welfare and individualized care of children and young people.
• Oversee recruitment, supervision, training and development of staff.
• Maintain compliance with Ofsted reports and notifications.
• Develop and implement care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and external agencies.
• Manage the home’s resources and budget to support high-quality care.
