  • Lead the day-to-day running of the home, including staffing, rotas, budgets and resources
  • Create and maintain a safe, stable and therapeutic environment for young people
  • Promote a culture of openness, communication and equality
  • Oversee the development, implementation and review of care plans and risk assessments
  • Lead, coach and develop the staff team through supervision, mentoring and performance management
  • Ensure the home consistently meets Ofsted regulations and quality standards
  • Ensure high standards of care, safeguarding and compliance

To be a successful Children's Home Manager at SWAAY, you will:

  • Be a strong leader with a genuine passion for improving outcomes for vulnerable young people
  • Have a Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare and Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management
  • Experience in a managerial role within children's residential care
  • Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and Working Together to Safeguard Children
  • Experience supporting young people with emotional, behavioural or attachment difficulties
