Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 nurse to join the Brent Children’s Community Nursing Team.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic full or part-time qualified Nurse.

Role Overview

The post holder will work as part of the Brent Children’s Community Nursing Team and will collaborate closely within a multi-disciplinary setting. Intravenous competency with central lines would be an advantage.

This post offers a great opportunity for a Paediatric Nurse to further develop nursing skills within the community setting.

The organisation supports training needs and offers an excellent training and education programme. You will also receive regular safeguarding supervision, clinical supervision, and support from the Team Lead.

Responsibilities
  1. Participate in the assessment, planning, and provision of skilled nursing care in negotiation with the child and family, in conjunction with the Children’s Community Team Leads.
  2. Provide skilled, effective, evidence-based nursing care for children with complex care needs, including technology-dependent care such as tracheostomy and central venous access.
  3. Deliver nursing care for children with various needs, such as enteral feeding and intravenous antibiotic administration.
  4. Work collaboratively with other agencies to ensure seamless delivery of care to families.
