We are looking for a registered children’s nurse who is motivated, forward thinking and has a sound professional knowledge and excellent communication skills. You should have the ability to prioritize and work both independently and as part of a team.

In this post you will provide highly skilled, quality clinical and non-clinical care, which is outcome focused, to support children and their families, to enable them to live, participate and achieve in all aspects of life, eg at home and within their community. The workload is varied and interesting with opportunity to develop further knowledge and skills.

You will also be responsible for providing support to junior team members through developing their skills & completing staff appraisals.

You will also teach parents, carers and other health professionals as required and will mentor pre and post registered students. In return you will work within a highly supportive nurse-led service with the opportunity to expand your knowledge and work closely with clinical nurse specialists, gain management experience and work collaboratively with the team of Consultant Paediatricians to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

North Mid is part of North Central London integrated care system – consisting of the NHS and Local authority organisations in Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. As with other ICS’s, we are working increasingly closely with partners and indeed many of our financial and performance objectives are measured at this system level. Whilst all organisations remain as standalone, statutory bodies we have an ICS infrastructure for making shared decisions and agreeing shared approaches.

We are proud of our staff and want to ensure their training allows them to provide excellent clinical care. We are also a training unit for medical students from UCL and St George’s University Grenada, and for nursing and midwifery students from Middlesex and City Universities.
