Job summary

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust seeks a dedicated Children’s Complex Care Team member for a Band 3 Development role. The post is 27 hours per week, mainly overnight, providing home-based clinical care to children with life-limiting conditions and supporting families.

Successful candidates will start as Band 3, with progression to Band 4 after probation, Care Certificate, and competency sign-off. An induction program supports new starters and patient care delivery at home.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children in a community or health care setting.
• Experience of working without direct supervision.
• Clinical skills such as suction, nasogastric feeding, tracheostomy care.
• Willingness to undertake Care Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide home-based clinical care to children in the community.
• Support parents and siblings to meet the child’s needs.
• Progression to Band 4 upon probation, Care Certificate completion and competency sign-off.
• Work mainly night shifts (2200–0700) and as a lone worker when required.
