Responsibilities

• Receive and screen referrals from professionals, families, or the public.
• Conduct initial assessments to determine risk levels and service eligibility.
• Decide if cases require Section 17 or 47 intervention.
• Undertake home visits and interviews with children and families.
• Liaise with police, schools, health services, and other agencies.
• Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for action.
• Escalate cases to child protection teams when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records and timely responses to referrals.
