Job summary

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking an Advanced Practitioner to join their Locality Social Work team in Aston Joint Service Centre. This is a full-time role (37 hours, Mon - Fri) focused on safeguarding children and supporting families through challenging circumstances.

You will manage a complex caseload, conduct thorough assessments, and develop intervention plans in collaboration with multi-agency partners.

Qualifications

• A recognised social work qualification.
• Registered with Social Work England.
• Significant experience in child protection, safeguarding and Court work.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with multi-agency partners.
• Participating in child protection processes and court proceedings, presenting good quality written and oral evidence.
• Maintaining accurate and timely case records in accordance with statutory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

• A recognised social work qualification
• Registered with Social Work England.
• Significant experience in child protection, safeguarding and Court work.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices.
