Job summary

Keys in Wrexham is seeking a Children's Activity Based Support Worker to provide overnight care and outdoor-based activities for young people aged 8-18. The role requires staying at the activities centre, 39 hours per week on a rotating 4-on/8-off pattern, with full board and accommodation provided.

You will lead adventure activities, build trusting relationships, and support daily care while ensuring safety.

Qualifications

  • Must be over 21 and hold a full UK driver’s license.
  • Ability to work 39 hours per week on a 4 days on / 8 days off rota including sleep-ins.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • DBS check is fully covered by Keys Group.

Children's Activity Based Support Worker - Wrexham (LL11)

JOB ROLE:Children's Support Worker with Outdoor Activities.

LOCATION: Wrexham (LL11)

SALARY:£13.95 - £14.55* per hour + up to £6000 sleep allowance per annum.

SHIFT PATTERNS:39 hours per week – This rota involves working Monday till Friday one week, Friday till Monday then next etc.

About Keys Activity & Intervention:

This position requires you to reside at our activities centre overnight during your working days to provide consistent support to the children. Accommodation and meals will be provided to you throughout your stay.

With Keys, you will be working in an activity-based residential home specifically designed to support young people aged 8-18. These young individuals often face social, emotional & mental health challenges.

Our Activity and Intervention service offers a 12-week programme for these young people to offer a change of scenery. We offer a break from difficult circumstances, a fresh start and help them to build up their confidence by enforcing positive routines through activities.

While your primary role is that of a care worker,a strong focus on adventure and staying active is key to the role — think mountain biking, rock climbing, walking, kayaking and much more. If you love adventure and being outside, you’ll fit right in!

Key Responsibilities & Role Requirements:

  • Age & Driving License: Must be over 21 and hold a full UK driver’s license.
