Job summary

Keys Group Gloucester is seeking a dedicated Activity Based Support Worker to deliver overnight care and outdoor activity-based support for young people aged 8-18 at our Gloucestershire centre. You will participate in 39 hours per week across a 4 days on, 7 days off pattern, with sleep-ins and accommodations provided during shifts.

Applicants must be over 21 with a full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK.

Children's Activity Based Support Worker - Gloucester

JOB ROLE:Children’s Support Worker with Outdoor Activities

LOCATION: Gloucester (GL4)

SALARY:£13.95 - £14.55* per hour + up to £6000 sleep-in allowance.

SHIFT PATTERNS:39 hours per week - working 4 days on, 7 days off

REQUIREMENTS:Full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle - essential

About Keys Group Activity & Intervention:

This position requires you to reside at our activities centre overnight during your four working days to provide consistent support to the children. Accommodation and meals will be provided to you throughout your stay.

With Keys Group, you will be working in an activity-based residential home specifically designed to support young people aged 8-18. These young individuals often face social, emotional & mental health challenges.

Our Activity and Intervention service offers a 12-week programme for these young people to offer a change of scenery. We offer a break from difficult circumstances, a fresh start and help them to build up their confidence by enforcing positive routines through activities.

While your primary role is that of a care worker, a strong focus on adventure and staying active is key to the role - think mountain biking, rock climbing, walking, kayaking and much more. If you love adventure and being outside, you'll fit right in!

Key Responsibilities & Role Requirements:

  • Age & Driving License: Must be over 21 and hold a full UK driver’s license.
  • Commitment: Ability to work 39 hours per week, adhering to the 4 days on, 8 days off shift pattern, including sleep-ins.
