A specialist provider of residential support services is seeking dedicated Support Workers in Weymouth. The role involves helping young individuals aged 12-17 achieve independence through various support activities, including community engagement and personal care. Ideal candidates should possess excellent communication skills, a passion for working with youth, and a driving licence. Our client, a specialist provider of Residential Children's homes in Dorset, supports young people aged 12-17 to become independent and contributing members of society by helping them unlock their full potential and achieve their individual goals. They are currently seeking dedicated and caring Support Workers to join their team and support their homes in Weymouth, Dorchester and Bournemouth.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with young people and making a difference in their lives.
You will be able to engage the residents through praise, direction and calmness and have the ability to work with initiative, resourcefulness and passion in order to provide support as part of a motivated team.
Ideally you will have experience in a support worker setting and hold, or be working towards, a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent). However, those new to the field who can demonstrate a strong passion towards improving young people's lives and a desire to develop a vocation in support work are welcome as full training & ongoing support will be provided.
You are reliable, compassionate, and have excellent communication skills.
A driving licence is required.
