Job summary

Nudge Education is seeking compassionate practitioners to deliver 1:1 support to young people with SEN, SEMH or additional needs in a community setting. You will provide tailored sessions, build trusted relationships, and monitor progress to ensure safeguarding and progression.

The role is flexible by location, with afternoon sessions Monday, Tuesday and Thursday as preferred. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential, with DBS checks and UK right-to-work required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' relevant experience.
• Experience supporting young people with SEN and/or SEMH needs.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Ability to commit to a minimum of three days' availability per week to provide consistency for our young people.
• Willingness to obtain business car insurance prior to commencing the role.
• ASD and PDA Experience required.

Around 90,000 young people across the UK are persistently absent from education each year. Nudge Education, we support children and young people who are disengaged from education through tailored mentoring and interventions that help them reconnect, rebuild confidence, and thrive.

About the Role

We are looking for compassionate and adaptable practitioners to deliver personalised 1:1 support to young people with SEN, SEMH, or additional needs.

This is a community-based role, working beyond traditional classrooms to create safe, engaging, and meaningful learning experiences.

• Work collaboratively with families, professionals, and regional teams

Who We’re Looking For

You may come from education, youth work, healthcare, social care, coaching, uniformed services, or other people-focused backgrounds.

Essential Requirements

Practicalities
