Job summary

East Coast College is seeking a dedicated Workplace Assessor in Childcare to monitor learners in workplace settings. You will assess progress, provide feedback, and help learners achieve their qualifications while ensuring safeguarding and quality standards are met.

The role requires significant occupational experience in childcare, a relevant assessor qualification, and the ability to manage a caseload while liaising with employers and staff across the college.

Qualifications

• Assessor qualifications required (A1, D32/D33, TAQA or CAVA or equivalent).
• Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.
• Proven ability to manage learner progress and maintain detailed records.
• Experience in safeguarding and compliance with awarding body requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct workplace assessments and reviews for childcare learners.
• Observe learners in workplace and assess against qualification standards.
• Provide constructive feedback and action plans for learner development.
• Maintain accurate assessment records and ensure safeguarding and QA compliance.
• Liaise with employers, managers, and curriculum teams to support progress.
