Job description

Hays Education is working exclusively with a nursery school in Coventry. The nursery is situated in the city centre and is easily accessible by public transport. It caters to children from 6 weeks to pre-school age and provides a stimulating and welcoming learning environment, ensuring children's needs are met on an individual and group basis. The nursery prepares children early for a successful school life.

Your new role

You will be required to work full-time, year-round, between 38–40 hours per week on a shift basis. The nursery is flexible and will accommodate your working hours as best as possible, provided you can work the latter hours.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Planning, preparing, and implementing the EYFS curriculum
2. Motivating children and encouraging learning through play
3. Assessing children's learning and development
4. Promoting health, safety, and safeguarding of children
5. Supporting children by being friendly, a role model, and adapting behaviors to meet their social and emotional needs

What you'll need to succeed

• Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 2 accepted)
• Keyworker experience, including knowledge and experience of completing learning journals and observations
• Knowledge of the EYFS and confidence in delivering it
• Recent experience working in a nursery or school setting within the Early Years Foundation Stage
