Job Description:

Marsh Lane Day Nursery is currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to join as a Level 3 Apprentice at their Yeovil setting.

Established in 1995, Marsh Lane Day Nursery Ltd is situated in a quiet and accessible location on Marsh Lane, with a private car park for parents. The nursery features three outdoor areas, access to Yeovil Recreation Centre, and nearby farm and country walks. Meals are prepared on-site by a dedicated cook, meeting all children's dietary needs.

Our staff hold a range of Early Years qualifications from level 2 to level 6 and regularly update their skills through various courses.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Working towards becoming a key person
• Providing a safe, caring, fun, and stimulating environment as part of a team
• Undertaking personal care tasks, including nappy changing and assisting during feeding times
• Updating children's developmental records using tapestry
• Communicating with parents about their children's progress
• Assisting with organizing daily activities

Requirements:

• Ability to obtain a clear DBS check
• GCSE Grades A*-C in English and Maths or equivalent (e.g., functional skills)

Hours:

• Open from 08:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday
• Working hours are 40 hours per week; shift patterns will be discussed
