Childcare Apprenticeship – Level 3 – Wind in the Willows @ ABC Durrington – Term Time Only

The Aspire Training Team are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship for Wind in the Willows at ABC Durrington.

Wind in the Willow provides childcare for children from the ages of 2 years to 5 years , it has 1 main room, and will take up to 33 children. 

There is a large garden area, and they also have animals – dogs, rabbits, and guinea pigs.

Your roles and responsibilities will include;

• Working as part of a team, supporting the children and taking care of all of their needs including all aspects of personal care.

• Planning the day’s activities, would eventually develop into the role as a key person, responsible for children’s next steps, safeguarding requirements liaise with team leaders,  staff and senior team member for wellbeing of the children, liaise and feedback with them on daily basis,  undertaking regular supervisions,  supporting the running of the room.

Requirements;

• The successful candidate must have a good understanding of the EYFS and be a good communicator as will be liaising with parents.
• Level 2 childcare qualification is desirable
• One years experience in a nursery environment is also desirable.
• You must be able to gain a clear DBS
• Have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent

Hours; 

• Wind in the Willows is open from 08:30 -15.30 Monday to Friday 
• The successful candidate will be required to work 30 hours per week, with shift patterns to be discussed
