Level 2 Childcare Apprenticeship – Marsh Lane Day Nursery

Shoots Training are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to join Marsh Lane Day Nursery at their Yeovil setting as a Level 2 Apprentice.

Established in 1995, Marsh Lane Day Nursery Ltd is set in a lovely and quiet location on Marsh Lane. We are easily accessible from either Ilchester Road or Coombe Street Lane. The nursery is located away from the road with a private car park for parents to use.

The Nursery has three pleasant and secure outdoor areas, which have access to Yeovil Recreation Centre, and is only a short walk to a local farm and country walks. Our meals are prepared fresh on the premises by our Cook, who takes pride in meeting all children’s needs.

Our staff have a wide range of Early Years qualifications ranging from Level 2 to Level 6. We are all passionate about updating our skills regularly with various courses.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

1. Working towards becoming a key person
2. Working as part of a team to provide a safe, caring, fun, and stimulating environment
3. Undertaking all aspects of personal care, including nappy changing and assisting at feeding times
4. Updating the children's journey using Tapestry
5. Gaining confidence in liaising with parents and keeping them updated on their children's progress
6. Assisting with organising daily activities

Requirements:

• You must be able to gain a clear DBS check
• Ideally, you will have GCSE Grades A*-C in English Language and Maths or equivalent, e.g., functional skills

Hours:

• Marsh Lane Day Nursery is open from 08:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday
• Working hours will be 40 hours per week, and shift patterns will be discussed.
