Childcare Apprenticeship – Level 2 – St John's Church Pre-school Nursery

The Aspire Training Team are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 2 Childcare Apprenticeship at St John's Church Pre-school Nursery at their Parkstone setting.

St. John's Church Pre-School Nursery welcomes, respects and values all diversities and celebrates all children, their families, and our staff, all working together to promote their individual potential and has been open for 52 years.

They are registered to take 60 children that range between the ages of 2 years to 4 and a half years and have 2 rooms.

They encourage play with sand and water, have outside play areas with slides and climbing frames to provide learning through play.

They are in a beautiful church building and once a week on a Friday, they encourage the children to help pack the room away.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

1. You will learn the role of a nursery practitioner and support the key members of the team.
2. You will learn opening and closing procedures, develop and communicate partnerships with parents, and cater to the health and wellbeing of children.
3. You will support with all aspects of personal care – snack time, preparing the room, and preparing activities – outside play.

Hours:

1. St John's Pre-school Nursery is open from 8.00am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
2. The successful candidate will be required to work 30 hours per week with shift patterns to be discussed.

Requirements:

1. You must be able to gain a clear DBS.
2. GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent, would be desirable.
3. It would be beneficial if you can drive if living outside the area.
