Sunbeams Day Nursery Childcare Apprenticeship

Opportunities and Development

• Upon completing your Level 2 qualification, you will have the opportunity to progress to the Level 3 apprenticeship.

Role Responsibilities

• Work within the team to ensure the smooth daily organization and safety of all children.
• Demonstrate excellent observation and communication skills, actively contributing to children's development.
• Serve as a key worker to a group of children, playing a significant role in their development and learning journey.
• Help children understand and practice good health, hygiene, and personal habits during meal times, rest periods, and bathroom use. Assist in serving snacks and refreshments, modeling excellence in care.
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and appearance, be reliable, and model positive behaviour at all times.

The Apprenticeship Program

The apprenticeship includes:

• Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard.

Most training will be delivered at your workplace, with support from your employer. You will have regular visits every 6 to 12 weeks from your designated assessor to monitor your progress.

Additional qualifications include Emergency and Paediatric First Aid, a Health and Safety Certificate, Internet Safety, and Safeguarding.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, between 7.30 am and 6.00 pm. Exact times and days will be confirmed with the employer upon offer of the role.
