Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship – The Valley Nursery School

Aspire Training Team is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at The Valley Nursery School.

The Valley Nursery School aims to ensure that children in our care are happy and healthy, with high levels of wellbeing. We take a holistic and nurturing approach in the Early Years to give each child the greatest opportunity to reach their full potential.

We believe our nursery should be a place where children learn confidently, both independently and in groups. Successes should be shared and celebrated, and differences respected and valued. We aim to boost children’s self-esteem by fostering an enquiring and enthusiastic approach to learning.

Our children are encouraged to be independent learners, challenge themselves, and discuss their own processes and achievements.

We are a small nursery with dedicated staff members who have been here for over 10 years. We work well together and support each other.

We do a lot of outdoor play, so be prepared to get a little muddy. Each day is different, and we are creative and spontaneous with our activities.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Creating and maintaining a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children.
• Planning and delivering engaging activities based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Observing and assessing children’s development and progress, ensuring individual needs are met.
• Building strong relationships with parents and caregivers, facilitating open communication about their child's development.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues in a team-oriented environment.
• Ensuring compliance with all nursery policies, procedures, and safeguarding practices.

Requirements:

• Level 2 Childcare Qualification is desirable.
• You must be able to obtain a clear DBS check.
• Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent.
• You must be able to drive due to unreliable bus service.

Hours:

• The Valley Nursery School is open from 08:00 to 18:30, Monday to Friday.
• The successful candidate will be required to work 25–30 hours per week.
