One Parent Families Scotland is seeking a Childcare Connector to support single parents in overcoming childcare barriers that hinder employment, education, training, volunteering and progression opportunities.

Working within OPFS My Life and Me framework, the role provides specialist childcare information, advice, guidance and practical support to help parents understand options, access funding and secure sustainable arrangements for their family and future goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist childcare information, advice, guidance and practical support to help parents understand childcare options
• Help parents access funding and secure sustainable childcare arrangements
• Work in partnership with childcare providers, employability services and local organisations to coordinate support and reduce childcare as a barrier to work, learning and progression
