Job summary

Action for Children is seeking a Family Support Practitioner in Aberdeen. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to assess needs, provide intensive support, and help families overcome barriers.

The role offers a 12-month contract with extension potential and a focus on safeguarding and positive outcomes for children and families. The role requires an SVQ 3 in social care or equivalent, experience with vulnerable families, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience working with vulnerable families and the issues they face.
• Knowledge of assessment methods and interventions.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing and through presentations.
• Experience developing multidisciplinary support plans.
• Experience working with children, young people, families and carers to promote safeguarding and welfare.
