Job summary

Brent Council is seeking a part-time Co-Production Connector (Parents/Carers) to support the Principal Social Worker for Children and Families. You will help ensure parents and carers are actively involved in designing and delivering the Families First Partnership Programme, through workshops, engagement events and feedback collection.

You will promote the programme, develop communication materials, monitor activities and assist with training for the workforce, using lived experience to shape

Qualifications

• Lived experience of receiving Brent’s targeted early help or social work services within the last seven years.
• No current involvement with Brent’s targeted early help or social work services.
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with parents, carers and professionals.
• Basic IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• A collaborative approach and confidence in supporting workshops, forums and other engagement activities.
• A genuine commitment to using your lived experience to help shape and improve services for children and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist with promoting the Families First Partnership Programme and developing communication and engagement materials.
• Monitor engagement activities and report on outcomes to inform service development and delivery.
• Support the delivery of training to the wider workforce and share learning from engagement activities.
• Identify learning and good practice to strengthen family participation across Children's Services.
