Job summary

Sandwell Children's Trust is seeking a Service Manager for the Children We Care for Service on a 3‑month fixed term basis. The role leads workload management, child-centred planning, and ensures staff supervision and practice standards are embedded across the team.

The successful candidate will be an experienced leader, registered Social Worker with an enhanced DBS, and able to drive improvements through multi‑agency collaboration while maintaining statutory duties and safeguarding

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England and enhanced DBS.
• Experience leading children's services or equivalent.
• Strong ability to supervise and develop staff and practice standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the service in workload management with child-centred planning.
• Ensure multi-agency interventions are signposted and managed to standards.
• Hold practitioners to account through supervision and performance reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure statutory duties are met.
