Sanctuary Personnel Ltd in Exeter is seeking a Social Work Team Manager to lead the Child Protection Team. You will supervise social workers and support staff, oversee safeguarding case allocations and ensure statutory duties are met under the Children Act.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification required.
• Registration with SWE required.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development and management training.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision and performance management for Social Workers and support staff within the Child Protection Team.
• Oversee the allocation, management and quality assurance of complex safeguarding cases involving Child in Need, Child Protection and care planning responsibilities.
• Ensure compliance with statutory duties under the Children Act 1989 and Children Act 2004, maintaining effective risk management and decision-making.
• Chair and contribute to strategy discussions, legal planning meetings and multi-agency safeguarding arrangements.
