Child Permanence and Family Reunification Social Worker
Join North Yorkshire Council's Care Planning and Support Team as a Child Permanence and Family Reunification Social Worker. You will work with children and young people cared for by the Local Authority, collaborating closely with families to create effective care plans using an established Practice Model. Your work may involve children in various care settings, including family care, foster care, residential care, and those involved in care proceedings, requiring a good understanding of court processes or a willingness to learn.
We value high aspirations for our young people and work collaboratively with families, emphasizing systemic social work, signs of safety, restorative practice, and family networking approaches through dedicated training programs.
The role is diverse, ranging from developing communication tools with families to chairing family network meetings and working on pathway plans for young people. We support our staff with technology and a strong supervision policy, including regular group and individual supervision sessions.
