Job summary

Bath and North East Somerset Council is seeking a Child Missing Education Tracking Officer to ensure that children and young people missing education are identified, located, and supported back into suitable educational provision. You will manage referrals, undertake enquiries, and liaise with schools, families, and partner agencies to safeguard vulnerable pupils.

Qualifications

Highly organised, motivated and proactive with excellent communication, investigation and IT skills.
Ability to manage a varied workload, work independently and build positive working relationships with schools, families and professionals.
Experience of working within education, attendance, admissions, safeguarding, children's services or a related field would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Manage referrals, undertake enquiries, liaise with schools, families and partner agencies, maintain accurate records and track cases through to a successful outcome.
Play an important role in safeguarding children and ensuring vulnerable pupils remain visible to services.
Confident using a range of databases and IT systems, analysing information from multiple sources and communicating your findings clearly with colleagues and partner agencies.
