Aspire People are recruiting enthusiastic and motivated graduates with an interest in child development, psychology, education or childhood studies for opportunities supporting pupils in primary schools.

This role is suited to someone who wants to develop practical experience working with children and is interested in how learning, communication, behaviour and emotional development influence a child's experience of school.

You will work alongside teaching staff to support classroom learning, encourage positive relationships and help pupils develop the skills needed to participate confidently in school life. Some placements may involve additional support for pupils with SEND.

The Role:

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has recent UK-based school experience within the last two years for placements requiring previous school experience
• Has a degree or relevant academic background in child development, childhood studies, psychology, education or a related subject
• Has a genuine interest in children's learning and development
• Communicates clearly and builds positive relationships with children
• Is patient, adaptable and willing to learn from experienced teaching staff
• Can follow instructions and respond constructively to feedback
• Understands the importance of safeguarding, inclusion and professional boundaries

Experience in a school, nursery, children's setting or SEND environment would be beneficial. Candidates with relevant experience outside schools may be considered for suitable opportunities where the placement requirements permit.
