Child Care Worker - York
Full-Time | Term-Time | Immediate Start
Pay: £90 - £100 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a number of schools and alternative provisions across York, who are seeking dedicated Child Care Workers to provide support to pupils with a range of needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN), social and emotional challenges, or requiring additional classroom support.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in childcare, early years, residential care, youth work, or SEND settings looking to transition into an educational environment.
Supporting children's personal, social, and educational development
Assisting with day-to-day classroom activities and routines
Working 1:1 or with small groups to promote engagement and learning
Helping manage behaviour in a positive and constructive manner
Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all pupils
Have experience working with children or young people in any care or education setting
Be calm, caring, and committed to children's wellbeing
Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Hold relevant qualifications in Childcare, Early Years, or Health & Social Care (desirable but not essential)
Be able to work effectively as part of a team and on their own initiative
A supportive consultant to guide you throughout your placement
Opportunities for training and career development, including SEN and behaviour management courses
Weekly pay via PAYE - no umbrella fees
