As a child care teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a warm, engaging, and safe environment where children can learn, explore, and thrive. Here, you’ll be part of a team that values collaboration, encouragement, and professional growth, ensuring that both our children and our teachers flourish every day.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide Support Across Multiple Classrooms: Move between classrooms as needed to assist with different age groups and provide support to the teaching staff in various classrooms, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Provide Breaks for Teachers: Take on a supportive role by stepping into classrooms to provide breaks for teachers, ensuring that staff can rest while maintaining the safety and engagement of the children.
  • Assist with Classroom Management: Help maintain a positive, organized, and engaging environment in each classroom by supporting teachers in managing activities, behavior, and transitions.
  • Assist with Child Care and Supervision: Provide direct care and supervision to children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and engagement throughout the day, including during playtime, meals, and transitions.
  • Support Learning and Development: Assist in implementing age-appropriate activities that foster cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in children, supporting teachers in the delivery of play-based learning experiences.
  • Assist with Meal and Snack Time: Support children during meal and snack times by helping with meal preparation, feeding, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized eating environment.
  • Support Self-Care and Hygiene Routines: Assist children with diaper changes, potty training, washing hands, and other self-care routines, ensuring that hygiene standards are maintained throughout the day.
  • Help with Naptime and Rest Periods: Assist with naptime routines, helping children settle down for rest, ensuring they are comfortable and safe, and maintaining a quiet and peaceful environment.
  • Monitor Children’s Behavior and Well-Being: Observe and report any concerns about children's behavior, development, or emotional well-being to lead teachers or management, offering support where necessary.
  • Engage in Positive Interactions: Build positive relationships with children by providing emotional support, encouragement, and engaging in meaningful, developmentally appropriate interactions.
  • Assist with Cleaning and Organization: Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment by assisting with cleaning duties, organizing toys and materials, and ensuring safety standards are upheld.
  • Assist with Record Keeping and Documentation: Help with documenting observations of children’s progress, behavior, and milestones, and assist in maintaining necessary records for the classroom or daycare center.
  • Communicate with Parents and Caregivers: Support the communication process by assisting with parent pick-up times or sharing information about children’s daily activities, progress, and any important updates.
  • Compliance with Policies. Follow all center policies, state regulations, and health and safety guidelines.
  • Center Pride and Upkeep. Help maintain a clean school by performing trash removal, sanitizing equipment, cleaning surfaces, and keeping the school space orderly and welcoming for our families and visitors.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
  • Education. A high school diploma or equivalent required. A degree or certification in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certification. EEC Teacher Certification preferred. First Aid and CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience. Prior experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting is preferred.
  • Background Check. You must pass a criminal background check and meet all state requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create and implement engaging educational activities.
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding of children’s developmental needs.
  • Ability to manage a classroom and maintain a positive, calm atmosphere.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Our Working Requirements:
  • Flexibility to work an 8-hour shift within operating hours of the center, including opening and closing shifts.
  • Physical activity, including the ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with children, sitting, bending, squatting, jumping, reaching, and engaging in various physical and scholastic activities.
  • Ability to lift children up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand up to 90% of the workday.
  • Occasional evenings or weekends for special events or training.
  • A willingness and ability to adhere to all company policies, including (but not limited to) our feeding, safe sleep, mandated reporter, name-to-face, smoking, and babysitting policies.
