Job summary

Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust in Burnley is seeking a Band 5 Mental Health Practitioner to assess and provide evidence-based interventions for children and young people referred to the service. The post holder will work under team leaders and consultant psychiatrists within Sector Teams, delivering clinical assessments and a range of therapies while supporting families and carers.

Responsibilities include MDT collaboration, delivering care in hospital and community settings,

Qualifications

Essential qualifications include RMN/CQSW/DipSW/BSc.OT or other relevant professional qualification.
Evidence of experience in Mental Health service provision and completing comprehensive Mental Health assessments.
Desirable: other training related to CYP Mental Health interventions.

Responsibilities

Undertake assessments of problems and provide appropriate therapeutic interventions and advice to children and/or their families/carers.
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and as a sole practitioner, contributing to assessment and treatment decisions.
Ensure that clinical work is based on best evidence and guidelines, with clear implementation and evaluation.
Deliver services within hospital and community settings.
Attend and contribute to organised clinical supervision forums to enhance practice.
