Job summary

Gill Group, a British engineering business with 40+ years’ experience in sensing, measurement and environmental monitoring, is seeking a Head of Systems Engineering to establish and lead the systems engineering function.

Reporting to the VP of Global Engineering, you will own architecture, requirements management, verification and validation, and reliability engineering across the product portfolio, spanning software, electronics and mechanical disciplines.

Qualifications

• Experience leading systems engineering across the full product lifecycle.
• Strong background in software, electronics or mechanical engineering.
• Proven track record delivering complex products to market.
• Expertise in systems architecture, requirements management and V&V.
• Experience building teams and influencing stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the systems engineering capability across the business.
• Define and govern product and system architectures.
• Own requirements management, verification and validation activities.
• Improve reliability engineering and product performance.
• Introduce scalable systems engineering processes and governance frameworks.
• Support outsourced engineering partners.
• Act as the technical authority across multidisciplinary programmes.
