Job summary

Copello Global is seeking an experienced Senior Systems or Software Engineer with Team Lead responsibilities to provide technical leadership and delivery oversight across multidisciplinary projects. The role blends people leadership with hands-on engineering and project coordination to shape engineering strategy.

You will work with project managers and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, to a high standard, and with effective resourcing and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering teams within systems, software, or integrated environments.
• Experience delivering complex technical projects to agreed schedules and budgets.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering and/or software development lifecycles.
• Experience with requirements management, design reviews, modelling, simulation, or technical assurance activities.

Responsibilities

You will work closely with project managers, technical specialists, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered effectively, on time, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate systems and/or software engineering activities across multiple projects

• Ability to manage stakeholders and coordinate across multiple disciplines
• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience) in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronics, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline

Experience in any of the following areas would be beneficial, though not essential:

• Safety-critical or highly regulated environments
• Control systems, embedded systems, or real-time applications
• Engineering lifecycle and requirements management tools
• Systems modelling and simulation environments
