Job summary

La Fosse is recruiting for a senior software leadership role based in Cambridge. You will lead the full software function spanning embedded Linux on Intel/AMD SoCs, x86 Linux applications, and the test team, with an offshore partner as part of a larger engineering leadership group.

You will set technical direction, raise the bar on tooling, and shape a function that aligns with hardware and FPGA work. The role requires hands-on leadership and a track record of delivering cross-disciplinary

Qualifications

• Proven senior software leadership with 3+ years leading engineering teams.
• Strong background in embedded C/C++ and Linux.
• Experience unifying siloed teams and driving lasting process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full software function: embedded Linux development, x86 Linux applications, and testing.
• Set and defend technical direction across teams.
• Introduce modern CI/CD, automated testing, and release discipline.
• SIT on the engineering leadership team and collaborate with hardware, firmware and FPGA engineers.
• Provide credible technical leadership and hands-on input when needed.
