Job summary

Steatite Antennas, part of Solid State plc, Leominster, is seeking a Chief RF Engineer to join the Senior Leadership Team. You will act as the senior technical authority for antenna and RF engineering and lead design, verification and governance across complex RF/microwave projects.

The role requires extensive RF/antenna expertise, leadership skills, and a track record of taking concepts through test and production transfer, with hands-on VNA testing experience.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in RF and antenna engineering.
• Experience taking products from concept through test, verification and production transfer.
• Hands-on antenna test and measurement with VNAs and chamber-based setups.
• Experience in design authority, governance and engineering sign-off.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior technical authority for antenna and RF engineering.
• Lead antenna design, development, optimization and verification.
• Provide expert direction across EM modelling, simulation, testing and qualification.
• Lead design reviews, governance and technical sign-off.
• Own complex customer technical queries and provide authoritative guidance.
• Contribute to technical strategy and business priorities as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
• Mentor and develop engineers and strengthen technical capability.
• Drive continuous improvement across engineering processes and standards.
