Job summary

The Wellcome Genome Campus is seeking a Head of QHSE to provide strategic leadership across quality, health, safety and environmental management in support of the Campus’ growth and transformation. Reporting to the Estates Director, the role oversees governance, compliance, risk management and business continuity across WGCL.

The successful candidate will bring NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and Chartered IOSH status (or progress towards it), with a desirable Environmental/Sustainability

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Chartered IOSH status (or progress towards it) desirable.
• Environmental Management or Sustainability qualification desirable.
• Experience leading QHSE within complex estates, facilities or infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for quality, health, safety and environmental management across the Campus.
• Oversee governance, compliance, risk management and business continuity.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to build credibility and influence QHSE agendas.
• Support the ongoing management of existing estate and its expansion programme.
• Drive safe, sustainable and resilient operations across live environments.
