Job summary

Tameside College is seeking an Executive Director of People and Organisational Development to join our Senior Leadership Team and drive our people strategy across the college. You will shape staff engagement, leadership development and culture to support students and the wider community.

Collaboration with the Deputy Principal and CFO will be essential to deliver strategic priorities. The role requires significant senior HR leadership experience, ideally in further education or public service,

Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership experience in people / HR leadership roles.
• Desirable FE or public service background.
• Master’s and professional CIPD qualification and Chartered membership are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with Deputy Principal and Chief Finance and Infrastructure Officer to devise people strategies.
• Lead and develop staff and ensure high performance and inclusion.
• Strengthen culture of inclusion, belonging, engagement and wellbeing.
• Drive staff engagement and continuous improvement.
• Lead on change and development programmes to strengthen organisational capability.
• Oversee staff policies and practices, safeguarding compliance, and related audits.
