Job description

Adult Social Care Provider Engagement & Development Manager

Location: Gloucestershire

Salary: TBC subject to experience

Hours: 37.5 Contract: [Permanent / Fixed Term]

Reports to: Gloucestershire Care Providers Association Chairperson(s)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly collaborative Adult Social Care Provider Engagement & Development Manager to play a key role in representing, supporting and engaging adult social care providers across Gloucestershire.

Working across the older people, disability and mental health sectors, you will act as an important link between providers, Gloucestershire County Council and wider health and social care system partners. You will ensure that the views, experiences and needs of providers are heard and reflected in commissioning, market-shaping and service development activity.

This is a varied role combining stakeholder engagement, market development, business support, communications, workforce development, project management and strategic partnership working.

You will build strong relationships across the adult social care market, including with providers who are not members of the organisation, and will help create practical solutions to the challenges facing the sector.

Essential Experience and Knowledge
  • Significant experience within adult social care, health and social care, local government or a closely related environment.
  • Strong understanding of the adult social care provider market and the challenges facing providers.
  • Experience of working with multiple stakeholders across organisational boundaries.
  • Experience of partnership working with commissioners, providers and/or health and social care organisations.
  • Experience of stakeholder engagement, consultation and facilitating meetings or forums.
  • Experience of developing and delivering projects or initiatives.
  • Experience of gathering, interpreting and presenting information and market intelligence.
  • Experience of producing professional communications, reports and/or newsletters.
