An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Managing Director to take strategic and operational leadership of an established adult social care organisation.

This is a senior leadership position for an ambitious, values-driven individual who can combine commercial thinking with genuine compassion , ensuring high-quality care, strong operational performance and sustainable growth.

You will provide clear direction across the organisation, working closely with senior leadership, operational teams and key stakeholders to create a culture where people, quality and performance are equally prioritised.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction across the organisation, driving long-term growth and sustainability.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing senior management team, creating clear accountability and strong leadership standards.
  • Maintain an unwavering focus on safe, high-quality, person-centred care and positive outcomes for the people supported.
  • Ensure services consistently meet regulatory, contractual and organisational standards.
  • Develop and implement commercial and operational strategies to strengthen performance and future growth.
  • Monitor organisational KPIs, budgets, occupancy, staffing, quality and financial performance, taking decisive action where required.
  • Build strong relationships with commissioners, regulators, professionals, families and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for service development, expansion and continuous improvement.
  • Champion a positive organisational culture built around values, accountability, openness and compassion.
  • Ensure robust governance, risk management, safeguarding and compliance arrangements are maintained.
  • Lead organisational change effectively while maintaining engagement and stability across the workforce.
  • Act as an inspirational ambassador for the organisation and the wider social care sector.
  • Ensure the organisation remains financially sustainable while never compromising on the quality of care delivered.
About You

We are looking for a proven Managing Director, Operations Director, Regional Director or senior care executive with substantial leadership experience within adult social care.

You will ideally bring:

  • Senior-level experience within adult social care or a closely related regulated care environment.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Demonstrable experience leading managers and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • A strong understanding of CQC, safeguarding, governance and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience of organisational growth, transformation or service development.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • The confidence to make difficult decisions while remaining approachable and values-led.
  • A genuine passion for improving people’s lives through outstanding care.
