Job summary

Tugela People, part of the Impact HR Group, seeks a commercially minded COO to accelerate growth and scale operations across our Milton Keynes and Kettering footprint. You’ll partner with the Group CEO to translate strategy into measurable performance and drive day-to-day delivery.

In this newly created role, you’ll own operations, leadership development, and new service launches while shaping governance, risk, and partner relationships to deliver sustainable profitability.

Qualifications

• Senior operational leadership experience in professional services or HR consultancy.
• Ability to interact with shareholders in a fast-paced private company.
• Track record of running day-to-day business and delivering growth.
• Experience launching new services or propositions and building partnerships.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and mentor a leadership team.
• Experience as deputy or right-hand to CEO.

Responsibilities

• Take full operational ownership of Tugela People.
• Deputise to the Group CEO with authority when required.
• Oversee delivery, finance, resourcing, and client operations.
• Own the operating rhythm with leadership meetings, budgeting, reporting.
• Lead growth initiatives, new services, and partner development.
• Foster high-performance culture and succession planning.
