Job summary

The Belfry is seeking a visionary Head of Meeting & Events Operations to lead our busy meetings and events team. You’ll own 24 conference rooms, the 920-seat Masters Suite, and drive revenue while delivering world-class guest experiences.

You'll mentor a large team, set strategic direction, optimise facilities and collaborate with senior management to keep The Belfry at the forefront of events in the Midlands.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in managing large-scale meetings and events operations in a hotel or conference environment.
• Strong leadership and team development abilities.
• Excellent communication across multiple channels.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the entire operation, managing 24 versatile conference rooms and the new 920-seater Masters Suite, the largest and most impressive space in the hotel.
• Actively contribute to revenue generation by identifying new opportunities, managing client relationships, and developing strategies to maximise sales and profitability.
• Lead and inspire the largest department within the hotel, ensuring every event runs smoothly and seamlessly.
• Implement strategic initiatives to drive excellence and maintain the highest standards of guest experience from enquiry to event completion.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing team, nurturing collaboration, innovation and customer-centric service.
• Be a key driver in the evolution of our meetings and events department, anticipating trends and identifying growth opportunities.
